Description
The E. C. Lyons Curved Burnisher & Point Tool is a multi-purpose etching tool, featuring a curved burnisher and a straight drypoint needle scribe.
The curved, blunt end of the tool features a Burnisher. This is used for polishing the face of your metal plate to soften engraved lines and for removing burrs.
The straight end features a dry point or scribe needle. Unlike burnishers, drypoint needles are used for scraping, rather than cutting the metal plate. Typically, this results in a much more spontaneous finish.
This etching tool is made out of high carbon tool steel, designed to be resilient enough for resharpening
