Charbonnel Carborundum No 60 is our coarse grain of carborundum grit. Grades go from coarsest (No 46) to finest (No 220).

Made from silicon carbide, it is an abrasive powder that is used in both lithography and the intaglio printmaking technique, carborundum.

In lithography, Carborundum is used to grain the stone. During the intaglio technique of carborundum, the grit is fixed to your plate with an adhesive, typically PVA glue, to either add texture to a print or to create a complete image.
